Scott Townsend

Scott Townsend is a Security Awareness Training Specialist at Nightwing, where since February 2016, management and creation of cybersecurity and role-based curriculums for a customer base of 600,000 has been successfully executed, resulting in increased completion rates from mid-30% to over 95% and the development of 15 new role-based trainings. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Course Developer at Network Security Systems Plus, Inc., where Scott led the development of a course for the DoD on transitioning to the NIST 800-37 Risk Management Framework. Additional roles include Instructor and Course Developer positions at Telos Corporation and Security Awareness Training Manager for the US Government, among others. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Appalachian State University.
