Michael L. Stottlemyer, NCCO, NCBSO, NCRM has an extensive work experience in risk management and compliance. Michael L. currently holds the position of VP of Risk Management at NIH Federal Credit Union and also serves as the President of TG Risk Analytics, LLC. Prior to these roles, they worked as the AVP of Risk Management at NIH Federal Credit Union and as the Director of Compliance Services at Deleon and Stang CPAs and Advisors-D&S Compliance and Internal Audit Services. Michael L. has also held various guest speaker and professional trainer positions at Credit Union League of Connecticut, Indiana Credit Union League Inc, The Education Credit Union Council, and Maryland & DC Credit Union Association. Michael L. has a strong background in risk management, compliance, internal auditing, and operational management.

Michael L. Stottlemyer has an extensive education history. Michael L. obtained a Master of Arts degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Executive Leadership & Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University School of Business, completing their studies from 2019 to 2021.

Prior to that, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security/Information Security from Liberty University, where they studied from 2013 to 2016.

Michael L. has also received various certifications. In 2021, they obtained the NCRM (National Credit Union Risk Manager) certificate from the NAFCU (National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions) and the NCBSO (National Certified Bank Security Officer) certificate, also from the NAFCU. In 2013, Michael acquired the CUERME (Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert) certification from the CUNA (Credit Union National Association).

In 2007, they earned a certification of training in Overall Operations of a Credit Union, focusing on Strategic Plans from the NAFCU Management Development Institute. The same year, Michael pursued studies in Accounting and Business/Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus. In 2005, they completed a management course at Washington Adventist University.

Michael's educational journey began at Frederick Community College, where they studied Accounting and Finance from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, in 1985 and 1986, they attended Abbie Business Institute, obtaining a Technical School Certificate in Accounting and Business/Management.

Additionally, Michael holds a State of Maryland Insurance License, which they obtained in 2005 from the Maryland Insurance Administration.
