Nuwan Nirmala

Nuwan Nirmala is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various financial roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at NIHI since January 2024, Nuwan drives innovation in financial operations and develops strategic financial visions for sustainable growth. Previously held positions include Vice President Finance at Siyam World, where Nuwan established financial benchmarks and internal controls, and Financial Controller at Virgin Limited Edition, focusing on operational effectiveness through system improvements. Nuwan's background also includes a significant tenure as Financial Controller at Velassaru Maldives and leading the Corporate Finance function at Reollo Group. Earlier career stages involved project management and auditing roles with KPMG Maldives/Sri Lanka and foundational accounting experience at Uswatte Confectionery Works Pvt Ltd. Nuwan holds an MBA in International Business from the University of the West of Scotland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
