Rekha Bansal

Rekha Bansal has over 25 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. Rekha began their career in 1995 as a Patent Agent/Attorney at Roche Pharmaceuticals. In 1998, they became an Associate at Burns Doane Swecker and Mathis. In 2001, they worked as a Patent Counsel at Sugen/Pharmacia and a Director IP and Sr. Counsel at Celera Genomics. From 2005-2011, they worked as a Sr. Counsel at Amgen. From 2011-2015, they held the position of Sr. Director, Head of IP at Principia Biopharma. From 2015-2017, they were Sr. Director, Head of IP at Global Blood Therapeutics. In 2017, they worked as an Intellectual Property Consultant for Working With and Advising Start-Up Companies and Sr. Director IP at IDEAYA Biosciences. Currently, they are the VP of Intellectual Property at NiKang Therapeutics Inc.

Rekha Bansal received their Doctor of Law (JD) from Santa Clara University School of Law between 1994 and 1998. Rekha also holds a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from MS University in Baroda India, and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry from San Jose State University.
