Jingzi Tan

Jingzi Tan is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Nike since August 2022. Prior experience includes over nine years at IBM, where Jingzi held multiple roles, culminating as an Associate Partner and Distinguished Data Scientist. Responsibilities included leading complex analytics projects, coaching data scientists, and creating analytical best practices to enhance project execution. Jingzi began a career at The University of Arizona as a research assistant, focusing on software engineering for aircraft detection systems. Academically, Jingzi holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona.
