Jorge Varona

Jorge Varona is a seasoned technology leader specializing in data engineering and software development, with extensive experience in directing teams and driving architectural transformations across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Enterprise Data Enablement at Nike, Jorge focuses on establishing a unified enterprise data ecosystem, ensuring secure and efficient software and data solutions. Previous roles include Engineering Leadership at Amazon, where two teams were led on greenfield advertising initiatives, and Director of Data Engineering at Capital One, overseeing a large data infrastructure team. Jorge has also held pivotal positions at Ipreo Private Capital Markets, Roomi, Rallyverse, Virtual Piggy, Direct Partners, and Demand Media, consistently advancing engineering processes and architectures. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, Jorge also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Information Technology from the University of La Verne.
