Michael Steensteen

Michael Steensteen is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in apparel innovation at Nike, holding roles from Global Director of Knit Innovation Apparel to Director of Advanced Capabilities and Innovation Partnerships between February 2016 and June 2024. In these positions, Michael led a global team focused on cutting-edge athlete performance solutions and established an innovative Knit Studio, while also developing critical partnerships to enhance Nike's technological and operational capabilities. Prior to this, Michael was instrumental in creating a pioneering Apparel innovation center in Sri Lanka, emphasizing design thinking and human-centric principles. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Marketing from Boston College, contributing to a strong foundation for a successful career in the apparel industry.
