Russ McMurdie

Russ McMurdie is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in the footwear industry, currently serving as Director of 3D Design for Men's Performance Footwear at Nike since September 2006. Russ leads a team of skilled 3D Designers, collaborating with various Nike divisions such as Running, Basketball, Golf, and Tennis to develop innovative design concepts. Previous roles at Nike include Digital Innovator II, where Russ managed teams to create new digital tools for footwear design, and Digital Creation Leader II, specializing in photorealistic 3D modeling. Prior to Nike, Russ worked at General Motors and DaimlerChrysler as an Industrial Design Consultant, where responsibilities included training designers on digital tools and aiding in design processes. Russ holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University.
