Tom Mertens

Tom Mertens possesses extensive experience in operations and lean management across multiple industries. Beginning a career at Fardem Packaging B.V. as Operations Manager from September 1998 to July 2000, Tom progressed to Pentair, holding various roles between August 2001 and October 2003, including Lean Manager and EMEA Lean Director. Tom later joined Nike, serving as EMEA Distribution Director and then Global Lean Director from April 2017 to June 2018. Currently, Tom is the Site Manager at RPM International Inc., a position held since February 2025. Additionally, Tom has made significant contributions to Nike in innovation and distribution leadership roles up until April 2017. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Electro mechanics from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen.
