Senior Director, Sustainability Technology

Winnie Lam is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability technology and environmental conservation. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Sustainability Technology at Nike since August 2022, Winnie leads a team focused on reducing carbon emissions through data and analytics in materials and product creation. As a member of the National Council for the World Wildlife Fund, Winnie co-founded the Global Tech Industry Coalition to ban online sales of endangered animal products, successfully engaging major tech companies in this initiative. Additionally, Winnie holds positions on the Board of Governors at the University of Waterloo and the Board of Directors for Mongabay, contributing to sustainability efforts and environmental science reporting. Previous roles include key leadership positions at Google, where Winnie managed energy sustainability initiatives and product management efforts, and advisory roles in various organizations like Rainforest Connection and GAF Energy. Winnie holds a Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
