Jan Visser

Jan Visser is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in both the scientific and sports sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member at the European Golf Association, Jan leads the EGA Handicap & Course Rating Committee. At Nikhef, Jan has held the position of Coordinator Industrial Contacts since October 2008, managing partnerships and research collaborations, while also acting as the Industrial Liaison Officer for CERN. Additionally, Jan has contributed to detector R&D projects focused on medical imaging technologies. A co-founder of Amsterdam Scientific Instruments B.V., Jan oversees production processes for advanced detector systems. Jan’s past roles include leadership positions in various companies in the fields of golf governance and engineering, alongside a solid academic foundation, having obtained a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of Groningen and a Master's degree in Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
