Alma Judith Calix

Alma Judith Calix is a seasoned interpreter and educator with extensive experience in various interpreting settings. As a Spanish Interpreter at TransPerfect since March 2021 and the owner of Calix Interpreting Services, LLC since September 2016, Alma oversees both administrative and interpreting duties, specializing in legal, medical, and Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI) environments. Additionally, Alma has served as a Spanish Medical Interpreter for Niki's Int'l Ltd. and worked as a Spanish Interpreter for SOS International LLC. Previously, Alma held the position of Sociology Instructor at Hinds Community College, where responsibility included developing course material and assessing student performance. Alma holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from The University of Memphis and has completed doctoral coursework in International Development and Sociology at Mississippi State University, complementing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Lambuth University.
