As a managing director at Solariant, he has acquired land, developed and financed over 100 megawatts of solar feed-in tariff projects with a team of some of the world’s largest, most experienced and respected solar manufacturers and providers under the “Act on Special Measures Concerning Procurement of Electrical Renewable Energy by Operators of Electric Utilities,” also known as Japan’s renewable energy law of 2012. A notable project includes the Kagoshima 41.3 MW megasolar project on a formerly abandoned 36-hole golf course in the mountains of southern Kyushu, which was recently placed in commercial operations and acquired by a consortium of institutional Korean investors in an M&A transaction valued at over $195 million.
