Alus Kunwar

Alus Kunwar is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in fuel cell systems and energy storage technologies. Currently serving as Senior Fuel Cell Systems Engineering Manager at Nikola Corporation since December 2019, Alus specializes in testing and validating hydrogen fuel cell systems and has previously held roles as Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager at Nikola. Prior to this, Alus led engineering teams at NantEnergy, focusing on lithium-ion and zinc-air battery systems, and at Advanced Green Innovations, developing compressed natural gas conversion kits. Earlier career experience includes positions at Westport Fuel Systems and Navistar, where Alus contributed to the development of fuel systems and engine components. Alus holds a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University and a Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering from Loras College.
