Martin Balimann

Martin Balimann has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Martin began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2013. From there, they worked as an Academic Collaborator at the Embassy of Switzerland in Seoul, South Korea, focusing on science and technology. In 2014, they interned at CSEM, where they conducted research and completed their master thesis. Martin then joined Heptagon in 2015 as a Product Designer, responsible for designing various products. In 2017, Martin joined ams AG as a Product Engineer, contributing to the development of new products. Martin'smost recent position was at NIL Technology, where they held multiple roles, including Technical Project Lead, Manager of Product Development, and Manager of the Project Management Office.

Martin Balimann completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microengineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2009 to 2012. Martin then went on to pursue their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microengineering with a specialization in Applied Optics at the same institution from 2012 to 2014. During the academic year 2011-2012, Martin participated in an exchange program at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
