Charalambos Freed

Charalambos Freed serves as Vice President and Head of Standardization and Government Relations at Nilfisk since October 2015, building a robust career in standardization and safety regulations. In addition, Charalambos is Chair of F11.60 at ASTM International and a member of various committees within the International Electrotechnical Commission, focusing on safety standards for commercial autonomous floor treatment machines and electrical motor-operated appliances. Leadership roles extend to multiple committees in CEN and CENELEC as well as technical committees for VDMA and EUnited. Charalambos previously held the position of Technical Director at VDMA Cleaning Systems. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Stuttgart and ongoing research at the same institution in Chemical Technology.
