John Woods

John Woods is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Nillion since July 2025. Prior to this role, John held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Algorand Foundation from July 2022 to July 2025. John has also served as Director of Cardano Architecture at Input Output (IOHK) and worked as a Senior Security Architect / Applied Cryptographer at Informatica. Further experience includes roles as Lead Architect / Applied Cryptographer at ConsenSys and Senior Solution Architect at the Central Bank of Ireland. John's earlier career includes positions such as Lead Derivative Analyst for EMEA at GFI Group, Income Operations Manager at Citi, and R&D Software Engineer at Ericsson. John holds a BEng. in Computer & Communications from Technological University Dublin, completed in 2007.
