Christoph Niederberger has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christoph started their career in 1997 as a Database/Software Engineer at Consida AG. In 1999, they joined UBS AG as a Software Engineer, where they worked on web development and also gained experience in Java Engineering.
In 2001, Christoph moved to ETH Zurich, where they initially worked as a Research Associate. Christoph later became a Post-Doctoral Researcher and eventually Chief Software Architect of Project NOVA, a role they held from 2004 to 2006.
In 2006, Christoph co-founded LiberoVision AG and served as the CTO. In this position, they were responsible for leading and managing the technical aspects of the startup, along with overseeing business development and key accounts. Christoph held this role until 2016 when the company was acquired.
After LiberoVision, Christoph joined Vizrt in 2013, initially as the Head of R&D. In this position, they led the department focused on sports product development and managed a team of engineers in an internationally distributed work environment. From 2017 to 2021, they served as the Head of Product Development, Production, where they oversaw the development of various TV production-related products and managed a large team of engineers.
In 2021, Christoph became a Co-Founder and CTO of Nimagna, where they are currently leading the technical aspects of the company. Overall, Christoph has demonstrated their expertise in technical leadership, product development, and business management throughout their career.
Christoph Niederberger completed their education chronologically as follows:
- From 1986 to 1994, they attended Gymnasium Bäumlihof, where they obtained a Matura Typus C degree. The field of study for this degree is unknown.
- Christoph then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich, from 1997 to 2001.
- Subsequently, Christoph Niederberger continued their education at ETH Zürich, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from 2001 to 2005.
