Zachary Daniels

Software Engineer (ic2) at Nimble

Zachary Daniels has been working in the software engineering and full stack development industries since 2022. In that time, they have worked for Nimble, Svelcro | OSLabs, and HiThrive, as well as on two open source projects. At Svelcro | OSLabs, they engineered a Svelte application to create a Chrome Developer Tool enabling engineers to monitor Svelte components' state and rendering for debugging of Svelte Applications. Zachary also developed a parsing algorithm that converts nested tree objects, locating Svelte component identifiers, allowing for application to log key application information pertaining to relational and rendering data. At HiThrive, they worked as a Full Stack Developer. For their open source projects, they leveraged React to modularize a codebase for component reusability and implemented React Hooks for increased control of dynamically changing state unique to individual components, that prevent prop drilling. Zachary also incorporated bcrypt cryptographic hashing functions tuned to run slowly for password encryption to protect user information against potential attacks of the users' sensitive information stored in databases. Additionally, they developed a Node. js server with Express. js utilizing RESTful architecture to facilitate future scalability and leveraging distributed servers to allow for speedy user login and content creation.

Zachary Daniels attended City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College from 2018 to 2021. Previously, they attended Wells College from 2011 to 2013.
