Mark Iwicki

Mark Iwicki has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various leadership roles. Mark served as the Board Chair at Akero Therapeutics since December 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Director at Pulmatrix Inc., Merus, Nimbus Therapeutics, and Aimmune Therapeutics. In 2015, they became the Chairman and CEO of Kala Pharmaceuticals. In the past, they held positions as a Board Director at Taris Biomedical and as President and Chief Executive Officer at Civitas Therapeutics and Blend Therapeutics. Mark'searlier experience includes serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., where they also held the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

Mark Iwicki obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Ball State University between 1985 and 1989. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing and Finance from Loyola University Maryland from 1990 to 1992.
