Bertus Hechter

Bertus Hechter is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the automotive and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at NIMR Automotive since April 2021, Bertus has previously held the position of Technical and Operations Director at EnExi and has contributed to NIMR Automotive as part of the CEO Office. With a background in design analysis as a Design Analyst at Marenco Engineering Technologies Africa and significant roles at BAE Systems Land Systems OMC, Bertus has cultivated a strong technical and operational expertise throughout a career spanning over 15 years. Bertus holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, as well as a Professional Engineer designation from ECSA.
