Nine Lives Foundation
Soledad Soto serves as the Adoption Center Supervisor at Nine Lives Foundation since January 2022, where responsibilities include managing high-quality care for high-risk cats, overseeing staff and volunteers, and implementing training protocols and behavioral programs. Soto has successfully developed a foster-to-adopt program and worked with partner rescues to lower euthanasia rates. Additional experience includes roles as an Animal Care Technician at Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, where care for over 300 animals was maintained, and as a Doris Duke Alumni with the UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program, focusing on fostering emerging leaders in conservation. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and ongoing studies in the Fear Free Shelter Program.
