Josie MacRae is an experienced media professional with a strong background in news production and development. Currently serving as Executive Producer of News Development at Nine since 2009, Josie has held various leadership roles, including Content Director for the Today Show and Head of News Digital, where key products like 9news.com were relaunched. Previously, Josie was Deputy News Director for Nine News Sydney, focusing on editorial strategy, staff development, and playing a pivotal role as Executive Producer during the London and Rio Olympics. Josie redefined the flagship 6pm news bulletin at Nine News Sydney, utilizing innovative production techniques that led to becoming the number one news program in Sydney. Prior experience includes roles at Channel 5 as Deputy Editor for Five News and significant contributions at Sky News and Network 10. Josie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies as well as educational credentials from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
