Jane Sun

Head of Product and Project, Commercial Robotics BU at Ninebot

Jane Sun has held a variety of roles at three different companies. Jane began their career in 2012 as a Researcher at Drexel Autonomous System Lab. In 2014, they became an Advanced Intern at Walt Disney Imagineering. In 2015, they joined Ninebot Inc. where they held the roles of Head of Product and Project for the Commercial Robotics BU, General Manager of the Robotics Product Line, Product Manager, Research Engineer, and Robot Experience Designer. During their time at Ninebot Inc., they led the team to form business strategy and build multiple commercial mobile robots, built and mass produced the indoor delivery robot, charging station and elevator integration kit, discovered and developed the UWB technology for Follow Me function of miniPLUS, developed mapping and localization of mobile robot for factory calibration, and managed the collaborative project with Intel for CES16 Keynote demonstration.

Jane Sun attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2013 to 2014, where they earned a Master's degree in Robotics System Development from the School of Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering).
