Kevin F. Hong

Kevin F. Hong has over fifteen years of experience in marketing and strategy. Kevin is currently the Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning at Nintendo, a position they have held since December 2013.

Previously, Kevin was the Associate Director of Marketing at the National Basketball Association from January 2008 to December 2013. In this role, Kevin established the vision and strategy to launch a new Content Marketing function for NBA in China. Kevin also managed end-to-end, large-scale campaign development and marketing initiatives, including the NBA China Games with an annual multimillion-dollar marketing budget. Additionally, Kevin led the negotiations with major digital partners to create a first of its kind, cross-platform social media viral marketing campaign.

Before their time at the NBA, Kevin worked as a Management Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company in Chicago from January 2006 to December 2008. There, they advised C-level management teams on strategic initiatives, investment ROI, organizational restructures, etc. Prior to Bain, Kevin was an Investment Analyst at Diversified Private Equity Partners at Merrill Lynch in New York from January 2001 to December 2004.

Kevin earned their MBA from Harvard Business School and their BA in Economics from Yale University.

Kevin F. Hong has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management with double concentrations in Marketing and Strategy. Kevin also has a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College with dual degrees in Computer Science and Economics.

Kevin F. Hong reports to Nick Chavez, SVP. Sales & Marketing. They work with Jennie Eckardt - Director of Sales, Cynthia Gordon - VP, Strategic Communications - Nintendo of Americas, and Stephanie Peters - Director of Advertising & Marketing Partnerships.
