Andrew Smith has a strong work experience in the military, starting in 2015 with Air Force Space Command as Chief of Test Execution and Test Manager. In 2019, they moved to Air Force Special Operations Command as Portfolio Manager: Platform Engineering, where they led a 15-member multi-disciplinary rapid engineering and innovation team, planned, organized, budgeted, and directed engineering sustainment for a $97 Million Command & Control Mission System on 230 aircraft, led reach-back engineering for global field service support of critical warfighting capabilities across multiple continents, and interfaced with Special Operations aviators to translate customer needs into project requirements and user stories. In 2021, they moved to Niowave, Inc. as Project Coordinator.

Andrew Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Systems Engineering Computer Systems from the United States Air Force Academy in 2013. Andrew then attended the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Engineering in 2015. In 2020, they obtained a CMMI Associate certification from CMMI.
