Katrin Haettig

Katrin Haettig is a PhD candidate at the NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research with a strong background in geoscience, holding a Master of Science degree from the University of Bremen and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ruhr University Bochum. Experience includes scientific roles such as researcher in development at FORAREX for REXUS 25, where Katrin successfully launched an experiment studying calcifying marine single-cell organisms, and contributions as a student/research assistant at prestigious institutions like the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, MARUM Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, and Ruhr-Universität Bochum, focusing on various aspects of marine and sediment geochemistry as well as paleontology.
