Suzanne de Fockert - Poiesz

Suzanne de Fockert - Poiesz is a PhD candidate and marine biologist at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research since February 2017, focusing on the changes in coastal North- and Wadden Sea fish communities due to human disturbances like overfishing. In addition to research, Suzanne has contributed to various marine ecology initiatives, including projects related to flatfish ecology, marine species population dynamics, and coastal marine ecosystems. Prior experience includes roles as a marine ecologist at Wageningen Marine Research, a quality assurance officer at Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, and web development. Suzanne holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
