Francisco Betancourt has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Francisco is currently working at NIPPON EXPRESS GROUP as the Global Head of Key Accounts strategy since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at A.P. Moller - Maersk as the Strategic Customers Development Director (Asia Pacific) from 2019 to 2023. Francisco was also the Director of Product Management (Japan and South Korea) at Maersk from 2019 to 2022.
Before joining Maersk, Francisco worked at Bolloré Logistics as the Director of Global & Key Accounts Department from 2018 to 2019. Francisco was responsible for managing and expanding the Key Global Accounts portfolio. Francisco has also worked at DB Schenker as the Director of Ocean Freight Department from 2014 to 2017 and at CMA CGM as the Director of Sales Department from 2008 to 2014.
Francisco started their career at Carrefour as an Assistant Manager in 2007 and had a brief stint at Focus Knowledge Providers where they founded the company in 2003.
Francisco Betancourt has a diverse education history. In 1998, they earned a High School Diploma (Bilingual) from the British School. Francisco went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Lycée Périér from 2004 to 2006. Francisco then attended CY Cergy Paris Université, where they obtained a Trilingual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on International Business from 2006 to 2008. In 2021, they completed a program in Leadership, Management, and Finance at IMD. Recently, in 2022, Francisco enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley to study Digital Transformation and technology, earning a degree in Digital Transformation: Leading people, data, and technology.
