Thierry Behaeghel

Thierry Behaeghel serves as the Global Head of Ocean Freight - International Development at NIPPON EXPRESS GROUP, a role held since April 2018. Throughout a distinguished career, Thierry has also held key positions such as Director - Ocean EMEA and Product and Procurement Ocean Director EMEA at NIPPON EXPRESS GROUP. Prior to this, Thierry was the Country Head of Ocean Freight Belgium at Panalpina from January 2016 to April 2018. Thierry's extensive experience at DHL from 2002 to 2015 included roles such as Trade Lane Manager Far East and Global Ocean Freight Project Manager, showcasing expertise in developing customized solutions for international clients and leading project implementations. Thierry began the professional journey as a Business Consultant at Atraxis, focusing on Business Process Re-engineering for the SAPR/3 implementation at Sabena Technics. Thierry holds a Bachelor's degree in Logistics from Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen, attained between 1993 and 1996.
