Ralf Kusel

Ralf Kusel is an accomplished engineer specializing in control systems and automation, currently serving as a Manufacturing Control Engineer at Nippon Seiki (Europe) B.V. since July 2021, where responsibilities include technical support for PLC automation and development of reporting tools. Prior experience includes a role as an Advanced Process Control Engineer at Sasol, focusing on model predictive control solutions in the synthetic oil refining sector, and earlier training as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer in Training. Ralf also contributed to academia as an assistant lecturer at the University of Pretoria, teaching microprocessors and control systems, and served as a mathematics tutor. Ralf holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria, complemented by foundational education at Hermannsburg School.
