Mariam Fahmy

Mariam Fahmy has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Public Relations Specialist at IDT-Egypt from September 2018 to February 2019. Mariam then worked as a Human Resources Specialist at ASU Racing Team from November 2018 to September 2019.

In 2021, Mariam worked as a Google Summer of Code Student Developer for KDE, where they created new games for GCompris and added features to existing games. Mariam also served as a Season of KDE Developer, implementing a new backend for Discover to support system upgrades using rpm-ostree.

In 2021, Mariam was a Software Engineer Intern at 360Imaging, where they implemented a reporting system and a C++ interface for PDF generation. Mariam also resolved bugs in segmentation and planner software.

Mariam continued their software engineering journey in 2022 and worked as a Google Summer of Code Student Developer for the PostgreSQL Global Development Group, creating an internal API for storage engines in pgmoneta and implementing various storage engines.

From August 2022 to June 2023, Mariam was a DevOps Engineer at Siemens EDA, where they set up Kubernetes clusters, configured authorization servers, and created base docker images.

In 2023, Mariam joined the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) as an LFX Mentee and later became an LFX Mentor for Kyverno, supporting and implementing features related to Kubernetes Validating Admission policies.

Finally, in 2023, Mariam started working as a Software Engineer at Nirmata.
