Amit Shah

Amit Shah has been a director at Niron Magnetics since 2018. Prior to that, they were a senior engineer at GE Global Research from 2005 to 2018. Amit's research focuses on magnetic materials for power generation, distribution, and conversion technologies. Amit has also served as a Principal Investigator in three federal R&D contracts and has contributed to the company's critical material strategy in the area of rare earth supply risk mitigation. Amit has a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Amit Shah has a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an S.M. in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Amit also has a certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in Private Pilot certificate, Instrument rated, and a SixSigma Green Belt certification.
