Amy Bergerud has held a variety of roles in the engineering field. Amy began their career as an Undergraduate Intern at Eaton in 2007, followed by a similar role at Seagate Technology in 2008. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and a Visiting Researcher at NTNU. In 2016, Amy joined Seagate Technology as a Senior Engineer - Thin Film Process Development, and in 2021 they became the Principal Materials Process Engineer at Niron Magnetics, Inc.
Amy Bergerud completed their education history with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science & Engineering from the same university in 2013. Her education began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Materials Engineering from Iowa State University in 2009.
