Abdulazeez Galadanchi is an experienced professional with a robust background in financial services and program coordination. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Zonal Field Coordinator at NIRSAL Connect since April 2018, Abdulazeez has previously held managerial roles at Access Bank Plc, including Agricultural Value Chain Finance and Investment Services Manager, where responsibilities encompassed balance sheet management and team performance supervision. Earlier positions at Intercontinental Bank PLC included Branch Manager and Head of Operations, in which Abdulazeez oversaw branch activities and ensured operational efficiency. Initial experience in finance was gained at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, where roles ranged from Head of Technical Support to Cashier. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, both from Bayero University, Kano.

NIRSAL Connect
The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing system for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) was launched in 2011 and incorporated in 2013 by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a dynamic, holistic USD500 Million public-private initiative to catalyse the flow of finance and investments into fixed agricultural value chains. NIRSAL seeks to address the causes of low funding levels in the agriculture sector, including lack of understanding of the sector, perceived high risks, complex credit assessment processes/procedures, and high transaction costs.
