Stephen Vermiglio is a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear and automotive industries. Currently at NIS Ltd since May 2022, Stephen specializes in decommissioning solutions for the SGHWR at Winfrith Nuclear Power Plant. Previous roles include significant positions at JF Nuclear, Cavendish Nuclear, and Sellafield Ltd, focusing on the safe management of nuclear waste and the design of specialized equipment. Stephen’s earlier career involved designing bespoke machinery for the petrochemical sector and ground support equipment for the aerospace industry. Stephen holds an HNC in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Kirkby College of FE, completed in 1985.
