Mitsuharu Hiraoka has a diverse work experience in the video game industry. Mitsuharu started their career at TECMO KOEI GAMES Co., Ltd. as a Sales Representative, where they were responsible for business development and negotiation with retail buyers. Mitsuharu then became a Marketing Coordinator, organizing marketing activities and administrating budgets.
Later, Hiraoka joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Product Manager, overseeing product marketing. Mitsuharu then became a Marketing Manager, handling digital and print ad campaigns, as well as negotiation with licensee companies. Finally, they served as Director of Marketing, developing long-term marketing programs for MMORPG games.
In 2006, Hiraoka joined NIS America, Inc. as Vice President/Producer of Anime Business. Here, they developed new business lines, managed existing products and services, conducted pilot tests, and localized contents. Mitsuharu later became the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing various operational aspects of the company. Mitsuharu also served as Executive Vice President, where they provided strategic direction and mentorship to staff members and served on the Board of Directors.
Currently, Hiraoka holds the role of Vice President of PC Business at NIS America, Inc., where they are responsible for budget management, forecast reporting, and cultivating trusted relationships within the company.
Mitsuharu Hiraoka attended Keio University from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce.
