Vice President Of Global Accounting & Finance at Nisum

Islam AbdelAziz has a comprehensive work experience spanning over two decades. They began their career in 2004 as an Internal Auditor at Alex group for trading and agencies, Inc, where they were responsible for preparing deficiency reports in internal control and reviewing daily activities in various departments. In 2007, they transitioned to S.M.A Financial, Inc. CPAs as a Senior Accountant/Auditor, gaining exposure to multiple industries such as food, wholesales, consumer products, technology, non-profit organizations, and service providers. During this time, they successfully conducted financial accounting and attestation services. In 2010, Islam joined Ernst & Young (EY) as a Senior till Audit Manager, where they supervised a team of 10+ members and oversaw annual audits and reviews for companies across different industries, including mining, telecom, banking, and real estate development/construction. In 2015, they became an Audit Manager, continuing to lead audit teams and synchronizing group audits for various processes. In 2018, Islam embarked on a new challenge as the Head of Global Finance at Nisum, where they managed the accounting and finance functions at a global level. Recently, in 2022, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Global Accounting & Finance at Nisum.

Islam AbdelAziz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Alexandria University, attending from 1999 to 2003. Islam then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from USC Marshall School of Business, studying from 2020 to 2022. In addition to their degrees, Islam also acquired various certifications, including a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business in August 2022, a 2019-2020 Digital Mindset certification from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in April 2020, a Fundamentals of Integrated Reporting Certificate from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in April 2020, a CGMA certification from AICPA & CIMA in November 2011, and a CPA certification from AICPA in May 2009.
