Jahanzab Farooq

Jahanzab Farooq has extensive experience in software testing and automation engineering. Jahanzab is currently working as a Senior Automation Engineer at Nisum, where their responsibilities include utilizing Selenium/Cypress for UI automation, Rest Assured & Karate Framework for API automation, and TestNg, Maven, Cucumber for testing frameworks. Jahanzab also works with Jenkins/Azure for CI/CD processes. Prior to their current role, Jahanzab worked at Siemens Digital Industries Software as a Senior Software Test Engineer, where they conducted test design and development for IoT and cloud-based applications. Jahanzab also had experience in testing web services/APIs using SOAPUI/ReadyAPI and automated scripts. Additionally, they designed test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, and Rest Assured, and performed bug identification and reporting. Earlier in their career, Jahanzab worked at NetSol Technologies Inc. as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they were responsible for verifying the implementation of the verification process, designing and developing test cases, and executing them at different levels of the testing life cycle. Overall, Jahanzab Farooq possesses strong expertise in software testing, automation, and test case development.

Jahanzab Farooq obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from the International Islamic University, Islamabad. Jahanzab pursued this degree from 2011 to 2015. In addition, they obtained the ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in April 2019.
