John Payne

John Payne has over 25 years of work experience in the education and technology field. John most recently served as the Director of Technology and Innovation at the Niswonger Foundation, beginning in January 2018. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technology at Kingsport city schools from August 2008 to January 2016. John also has experience as a CTE Teacher at Dobyns-Bennett High School from August 2004 to June 2008, and as a Science Teacher at Dobyns-Bennett High School from August 1994 to August 2004.

John Payne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry from Milligan College in 1983. John later pursued a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology and completed it at East Tennessee State University from 2003 to 2005.
