Bhavana Kohli

Bhavana Kohli is a seasoned public policy specialist currently serving at NITI Aayog since September 2021, focusing on strategic initiatives related to India's vision for 2047, policy frameworks, cooperative federalism, and global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Previously, Kohli held positions as Senior Research Officer at the Government of India’s Development Monitoring & Evaluation Office (DMEO), where significant assessments informed program enhancements aimed at child development and women's health. As Associate Director at the Centre for Social and Behaviour Change, Kohli led efforts to optimize the impact of frontline health workers in underserved districts. Earlier experience includes roles in education policy reform at NITI Aayog and academic research positions at the University of Oxford and the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Kohli holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and has extensive academic and professional expertise in human development and behavioral insights.
