Mainak Mazumdar

Mainak Mazumdar is a distinguished academic in the field of economics, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai since August 2023. Previously, Mainak held the position of Assistant Professor of Economics at NITIE since August 2016 and contributed as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur, from June 2012 to August 2016. Mainak's expertise is further demonstrated through post-doctoral research at the Centre de Sciences Humaines, where projects focused on economic growth and disparities in India were coordinated. Mainak earned a PhD in Economics, specializing in Industrial Organisation and the Pharmaceutical Industry, from the Institute for Social and Economic Change, bolstered by a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor's degree in Economics Honours from Ramkrishna Mission Residential College.
