Shankar Ghimire

Shankar Ghimire is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at Niural since July 2024, Shankar previously held various roles at Machnet from September 2018 to April 2024, including Principal Software Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed the design, development, and maintenance of the Machpay Payment API (v3) and ACH payment processing features. Earlier positions at Machnet also involved significant contributions to messaging systems and re-architecture tasks. Shankar began the career as an Associate Software Engineer and gained foundational experience through an internship at Leapfrog Technology, Inc., where projects included building a demo sentry replica and canvas games. Shankar holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Tribhuvan University.
