Niwa (庭) means "garden" in Japanese — a quiet, beautiful space where things grow in their own time. We are a purpose-built, child-led kindergarten in Nairobi for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

Rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the best ideas in early-years education worldwide, Niwa rests on three pillars: protecting childhood, building strong foundations, and nurturing a future-ready mind. We prepare children not for a single right answer, but to think — through play, wonder, and warm, unhurried care.

Niwa is being built by educators and parents who have spent their working lives thinking about how young children grow. Doors open in 2027. Follow our journey, and join the waitlist at niwaschool.com.
