Molly Powers-Tora

Molly Powers-Tora currently serves as the Pacific Strategy & Engagement Advisor for both Earth Sciences New Zealand and NIWA, focusing on climate and ocean initiatives. Previously, Molly held various leadership positions at the Pacific Community-SPC, managing significant funding projects and teams, and contributing to ocean management, climate information services, and capacity building across the Pacific. Earlier experience includes roles with The Coral Reef Alliance, GLOBAL ISLAND PARTNERSHIP, UNEP/The Earth Institute, UNDP, Fiji Water, and Peace Corps, emphasizing environmental education, resource management, and community development. Molly holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College.
