Nicholas Eton

Nicholas Eton has extensive experience in marine technology and telecommunications, currently serving as the Group Manager of Marine Technology at NIWA since February 2017. Prior to this role, Nicholas worked as a Marine Technology Technician at NIWA and held the position of Technical Officer at BTS Networks - WIN Corporation Pty Ltd from March 2015 to December 2017. Nicholas began a career in telecommunications as a Field Engineer at Harris CapRock Communications, where responsibilities included deploying offshore to install and repair VSAT systems and telecommunication networks from July 2013 to March 2015. Nicholas's experience also includes a significant tenure with the Royal New Zealand Navy as Chief Electronics Technician from January 1999 to February 2013, focusing on communications and electronic warfare. Nicholas is currently pursuing education at AUT University since 2011.
