Rick Stoffels

Rick Stoffels is a Research Scientist at NIWA since September 2018, specializing in the significant freshwater management challenges in Aotearoa, particularly focusing on the effects of land-use, water abstraction, and climate change on freshwater values. Previously, Rick held the position of Senior Scientist at CSIRO Land and Water. Rick holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of Otago, attained between 2000 and 2008, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management and Ecology from La Trobe University, completed from 1995 to 1998.
