Yu Shyang Tan

Yu Shyang Tan is a Team Leader at NIWA since August 2021, previously working as a Research Group Leader at Scion. With a background in Computer Science and extensive experience in research and project leadership, Yu Shyang Tan has led and managed various teams in developing cutting-edge technologies for industries such as forestry. Prior to this, Yu Shyang Tan also worked as a Research Engineer at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories and a Project Officer at Nanyang Technological University. Yu Shyang Tan holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Waikato.
