Shawn Hansen

Shawn Hansen is a seasoned legal professional specializing in intellectual property litigation, with extensive experience in both practice and governance. As a Partner at Nixon Peabody LLP since February 2014, Shawn focuses on IP litigation. Prior to this, Shawn served as a Partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where responsibilities included intellectual property counseling and transactions. Earlier in the career, Shawn worked at TraskBritt, PC, engaging in IP litigation and patent prosecution, and held the position of Corporate Counsel at Advantage Marketing, Inc., overseeing IP litigation, contracts, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Shawn contributed as a Governor of the Alumni Association at UC Hastings College of the Law from July 2015 to July 2021. Shawn holds a Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in Civil Litigation from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
