Teresa Demelo

Teresa DeMelo is an experienced Human Resources professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities since October 2004, Teresa is responsible for full cycle recruitment and onboarding activities. Prior experience includes working as a Personnel Recruiter at Premier Personnel, where Teresa managed all phases of recruitment and conducted reference and background checks, and as a Benefits Manager at Flack + Kurtz New York, overseeing benefits administration for 400 employees and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Teresa holds a B.S. in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Rutgers University, an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Human Resources Management from Ashworth College, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
